Privacy Policy

Last updated: December 2025

Local storage only

QuickNotes – Journal stores your entries, tags, attachments, and settings locally on your device using a fast on-device database. Your journal data is not uploaded to any server by this app.

No accounts or analytics

The app does not require a login, does not create a cloud account, and does not use analytics or tracking libraries to profile you. Your writing is for you, not for us.

Network connections

  • Ads: The free version shows a small banner ad above the bottom navigation. Ads are provided by a third-party ad network (such as Google AdMob) and may make network requests to load ad content. The ad network may collect its own data as described in its privacy policy.
  • In-app purchases: If you choose to upgrade to Pro to remove ads, the app uses the App Store or Google Play billing system to process the purchase and verify that the upgrade is active.

Outside of ads and purchase verification, the app does not send your journal content or tags over the network.

Attachments

You may attach photos, videos, audio, and other files to your entries. These attachments are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded by the app.

Export and backup

You can export your data as TXT, CSV, or JSON backups from the Settings tab. Exports are created locally on your device. If you choose to share or store them elsewhere (for example, in email or cloud storage), that is your decision and outside the app’s control.

Children

QuickNotes – Journal is intended for a general audience and is not directed specifically at children. Please follow your local guidelines regarding journaling apps and minors.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will be revised and an updated copy will be published with the app.
