How to use WardTrack effectively
WardTrack is designed to be simple, fast, and respectful of your time. The only data in it is what you put there and you can start using it immediately without worrying about accounts, sign ups, and anything else.
Sample Imports
CSV Files.
1. Add members
Start by adding ward members in the Members tab. Each entry tracks availability, participation, and basic notes.
Birthdays are important so the app knows whether to treat them as a "child", "youth", or "adult". However, you can just add the year if desired.
You can also enter them via import from either a CSV file or from the Member List PDF that can be downloaded from https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/
Just tap on the hamburger menu on the top left, click on settings, and select import.
Note - The import from PDF can vary and you will likely need to do some clean up.
2. Manage callings
Track current and past callings with start and release dates. WardTrack automatically calculates service duration.
This is particularly helpful to remind the user of which active member needs a calling and what callings they have had before.
Callings may also be imported via CSV file or via the "Members with Callings" report from the church.
Note - Members should already be in the app before importing callings.
3. Plan sacrament meetings
The Meeting Planner allows you to prepare upcoming meetings, review previous meetings, and automatically record data by "committing" the meeting.
This feature could be used to read directly from the pulpit or just used to record data. It allows the user to track what happened in meetings so they can look to the past to plan for the future.
4. Track participation
Use the Speaking Log and Prayer Log to record participation. WardTrack automatically prioritizes members who have not participated recently in reports. Also, logs are automatically filled out if the Meeting Planner is used.
